Tamiko Ralston
Tamiko Ralston, BSN, PHN, LPCC, has over twenty years of experience working with families and communities through direct service, patient care, family home visiting, and community-based outreach and engagement. Tamiko has worked as a Public Health Nurse for over 19 years. Where she has served as a family home visitor to teen parents and has supervised a team of nurses, students, and health educators, among other public health professionals. Tamiko has led social justice and equity efforts around health disparities, including mental health and wellness and birth equity. She has hosted focus groups and created parenting groups aimed at building protective factors around the integration of the mind, body, spirit, and community village in collaboration with community residents and stakeholders in racial and social equity. Tamiko is a member of the African American Advisory Council of ICHRP (Integrated Care for High-Risk Pregnancies) and the U of MN Medical School’s Programs in Health Disparities Research Advisory Board.
